The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret to outward success...
My name is Thomas Fischer. Welcome to my Portfolio page. I have designed and developed Web sites for more than six years and I have earned my Associates Degree in Web Design from Baker College of Owosso, graduating in June 2006. Most recently I was employed by the State of Michigan Office of Child Support and the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. Currently I am seeking new opportunities as these projects with the State and the U of M have ended. My full resume can be viewed by clicking here.
Please take the time to view each of pages within this Web site and check my information thoroughly. I have built this Web site with the hope that it will convey my talents and abilities in designing and developing Web sites. This Web site contains my education, qualifications, computer skills, career objectives, work history and even a page about my hobbies as they introduce some of my personal side. I would be happy to meet with any firm that feels my qualifications would be an asset to their company. I can be contacted at the email address as well as the phone number listed at the bottom of each page on this Web site.
My Portfolio is designed to show you screen shots of some of the Web sites I have designed or as the case may be re-designed. By clicking on any screen shot you view that image in a pop up Window in more detail. Each item has a link to the actual site as they are all in use today Online. I hope you will take some time to view my work and hopefully you will like what you see. Thank you for visiting my Portfolio and I look forward to meeting with you.

Michigan DHS Office of Child SupportRecently I worked on a project with the Michigan Department of Human Services/Office of Child Support, to develop Web-based training for state and county employees that work in the Friend of the Court office, Prosecuting Attorney's office, and for Support Specialists. This training is based on the Michigan Child Support Enforcement System (or MiCSES) application. |

University of Michigan Hospital - MLearningJust before I graduated from Baker, I began working on a project for UMHS MLearning department to created Web-based training for the hospital staff to train them to use the new electronic charting system application the hospital was preparing to initiate in the fall of 2006. This was a great project and I enjoyed working in Ann Arbor. |

Actium ConsultingI also recently developed a new Web site for Actium Consulting. I worked for Actium on the State of Michigan DHS project in Lansing and as one of their only few Web developers I was asked to create the design for the company's new Web site. Actium works with multiple state governments on many projects from training to application development. |

Baseball StratogistsBeginning in 2005, I began developing the redesign of a Web site for a small business called Baseball Stratogists. Their idea was to create a site that would hold articles and other content about Strat-O-Matic Baseball. Working together with the Web site Editor Mike San Clemente, David Welch and Rick Speciale the site has evolved over the past few years and is now presented in a crisp clean design that is very appealing to visitors on this great Web site. |

World Martial Arts CollegeOne of my first professional projects came even before I graduated from Baker College in 2006. The year before that, I responded to a job posting for a Web designer to maintain four Web sites including this one for Dr. Ibraham Ahmed. Currently I am still maintaining these six sites and have redesigned the original four at least once in addition to creating the two new sites from square one. |
| Below are screen shots from two of the other sites that I work on for Dr. Ahmed. | |

Senior Integrated HealthcareThis project is another concept created by Dr. Ahmed to provide healthcare services and information to the many seniors in our community. He asked me to develop a site that would have easy navigation and large enough font characters for those that may have difficulty seeing smaller print. It is a nice site with some great links to information for seniors. |

Schwartz Strat-O-Matic Baseball LeagueThis is my pride and joy Web site that is also part of my hobby, Strat-O-Matic Baseball. I began working on the Schwartz League Web site in 2002 and have developed it into the best Strat-O-Matic league Web site, at least in my opinion, bar none. |
